Do nothing but get frustrated day

Hola

A challenging day today.

Firstly we could not book anything for the next stop around Marbella. It seems that the Spanish weekend consists of booking somewhere for Fri - Sat nights so everywhere is full. Kerrie spends a few frustrating hours and is tearing her hair out with one site that keeps getting all the way to taking the booking and payment and then says NO. So we decide to stay another night here at Ronda and this allows us to book a place near Manilva for Sat - Sun nights.

Right, now let’s head off for that viewpoint we spotted yesterday where we can see a great view of the new bridge from the bottom of the gorge. We set the Maps to go around the outside of Ronda so as to avoid squeezing through town, and that works really well until we get to the turn off to Carretera Camino de la Molinos - the hint is in the name. Camino = pilgrims walk = goat track!!

It starts out okay then degenerates quickly even though there are some concrete sections. We go about a half a km then decide let’s get out while we still can. Bob executes a tremendous 9 point turn with the help of trusty assistant and spotter Kerrie, and we drive back to a safe spot to regroup. Yep we are where we are meant to be but unless we shrink the can to, say, 2CV size it’s a no go. So we go to the supermarket instead, stock up and eat lunch in the carpark (again, why do we keep doing this to ourselves but at least it’s only 4.00pm).

Later, Bob works out that if we had gone the edge of town route we would have got to the other end of that road and we would have been fine!
Back at the camp Bob decides to delete his inactive work email that is sitting on his phone but not doing anything as it has been disabled (Bob has left the building 😁). Much later that evening he realises that all his appointments, reminders , and most importantly the journal of every day of the last 30 days (source material for this blog) have also been deleted. Kerrie is in bed asleep and does not hear the many many expletives that are spoken in a disbelieving voice.

The other challenge of the day is that Bob’s Bigpond email won’t send on his phone, so he spends until 1.00am on a Telstra chat with a human bot (well several as there is a shift change in the middle) trying everything to fix it - it does not fix 😡

Bigpond still works on the Laptop and Kerrie’s phone but alas not Bob’s anymore, and another couple of hours on Saturday morning still doesn’t fix it - eventually a new Telstra human bot (another shift change ) says it must be an Apple problem, contact their support team ( but Bob says it isn’t otherwise it wouldn’t have worked up to now and then stopped), and starts to wonder if deleting the work email has something to do with it - as of now still unresolved so all Bob’s email need to be sent through iCloud address. Through all this Bob missed the F1 Sprint Qualifying so he is very grumpy the next day.

So I'm afraid that's it for today!
