Hola

We on our way to Osuna, less than an hour down the road from Antequera. There are severe weather alerts out but it doesn’t affect us much on the drive. We are doing a first for us tonight. Osuna does not have a Camping ground, so we are staying in a Municipal provided facility (that sounds alright hey) - in reality it is a carpark attached to the Family Cash (Brand name ) Supermercado. There are about 8 other motorhomes here when we arrive but we don’t see anyone in or around them. There is no electricity or showers but the supermarket has toilets (open until 9.00pm so after that it’s the van toilet until morning).

We pop into the shop for supplies and eat lunch in their cafeteria - quite nice.

The weather doesn’t look great but we wander into the town and check out the various landmarks but of course it’s after 2.00pm so everyone is closed for siesta. But that’s okay we're happy to just walk the streets and see what we can. After about 2 hours we think the weather is looking too nasty so we hightail it back to our ‘campsite’ get a little wet on the way, but are ensconced in the van when the worst of the storm hits.

As an aside, walking around the little old town laneways, you look at the little apartments/homes lining the lane and all have beautiful wooden doors with gold or black metal handles. Most have a little foyer that's lined with beautiful tiles. Here's a photo of one of the doors (entry door and garage doors are made of the wood and metal or gold embellishments) and a tiled foyer:

At the "campsite", our big challenge though is that we suddenly realise that the fridge isn’t working when we are stopped and not connected to power. Maybe that’s why we have had some very important things go a little soft in the freezer (like ice cream). It’s a 3 way fridge (electricity, battery, gas) and we understood that if it was set to Auto then it would work out for itself what power to use. But apparently not!
So we both Google madly, look at YouTube but no help, until Bob finds a troubleshooting pdf which explains how to find the error codes, and we see the Error Code 11 that means on gas it is not working, and importantly, how to reset it - which we do , and the fridge light goes BLUE meaning it’s running on gas. Yippee!

So we can settle in and ride out the storm which is now quite rainy and windy, with some thunder that’s at first a fair way off from here, but gets closer as the evening goes on. Dinner tonight is the third way we can cook chicken - a chicken and bacon arribiata (or van life approximation of same). Tomorrow we head for Sevilla for 3 or 4 nights.
